Dauntless Scholar - Independent Commentary & Critical Analysis

Building stories from scratch - a literary lens on political, social and economic history

Dauntless Scholar is both a personal writing project and a generalist writer’s blog covering a wide range of topics around current world events, history, politics, economics, culture wars and social media trends.

Most articles are written from a libertarian perspective and are broadly critical of globalism and government overreach. For example, the article on The Rise of Middle Class Poverty in the West focuses on the destruction of the middle class in most Western countries because of policy shifts in housing, taxation, labour regulation and government spending.

This site includes film reviews and book reviews – most of which will be older, classic films and political texts like Carroll Quigley’s Tragedy and Hope.

There are also opinion pieces reflecting the author’s lived experience such as my article on Belize Digital Nomad Guide – Working Remotely from the Caribbean

There will also be articles on fringe and not-so fringe conspiracy theories – breaking those down and deconstructing them to assess their validity. This site is still under development – over time it will grow into a broader archive of essays, reviews and opinion pieces.
