About Me
I’m an Australian writer and researcher based in Canberra, Australia. I’m a generalist. I write primarily on topics that interest me – ranging from history, politics, economics and cultural trends, and emerging technologies. My work is mostly longer-form blog content and feature articles.
Over the past decade, I’ve written for North American content agencies as a copywriter and content writer/editor. I also worked as a senior staff writer covering human resources stories and spent three years as in-house blog writer for a Sydney law firm focusing on family law – working remotely from Acapulco, Mexico.
Prior to this I combined freelance writing with a small online Amazon-selling business, working from Mexico, Belize, and California while managing clients across time zones and platforms (WordPress, ClickUp, Slack, Asana).
I’ve interviewed thought leaders in human resources and business, written press releases for cannabis industry events, and created content for cryptocurrency and SaaS brands. My editorial experience includes line editing, fact-checking, collaborating with international design teams, and producing print and digital content simultaneously—all while adhering to AP style and tight deadlines.
I began my writing career as a student journalist at Sydney’s 2SER FM in the mid-90s while studying History, Political Science, and Economics at UNSW. I’m Generation X — I started out analog, writing my Honours Thesis in 1994 and conducting my research using microfiche and the early Gopher internet server at Sydney University.
